Despite the fact that it has already said that its new smartphone will be unveiled on July 27th OnePlus is continuing with its habit of revealing one spec almost every week to ensure that it remains a part of news cycles. The company did this last year as well when it was launching its first handset. As we wait for the OnePlus One successor to launch, OnePlus has confirmed that the handset comes with a 3,300mAh battery.
A few OnePlus team members took to reddit today to conduct an AskMeAnything or AMA session and during that they revealed that the OnePlus Two will feature a 3,300mAh battery.
OnePlus One had a 3,000mAh battery so it’s an improvement for the successor, the team also said that the new handset is going to be smaller than its predecessor, though it didn’t reveal if the display size will be smaller or the different would merely be due to the dimensions only.
While it’s possible that OnePlus might resurrect its invite system to control how many people can purchase the smartphone at any given time, the company did say that existing OnePlus One owners will be given priority when the next handset is available for purchase, they just left it at that without further clarifying what this prioritization would entail.
