There is a new rumor going around that ZTE might create history soon – with the launch of the upcoming ZTE Star 3, where this particular handset has been touted to be the world’s first smartphone to sport a 4K display, now how about that? Surely the accompanying hardware specifications would also be pretty awe inducing, if you will.
For instance, the ZTE Star 3 is said to come with a 5.5” display that will feature a resolution count of 2160 x 3840 pixels, in addition to a pixel density of 806. Apart from that, there has been whispers of a TFT panel that comprises of a special crystal structure, which has been touted to reduce power consumption while making sure that the display’s strength is also increased.
Do take note that Sharp had already announced their own 4K smartphone display that measures 5.5” across diagonally with a 806 PPI in April this year, but the Japanese firm has mentioned that this handset will not be ready for mass production until the year 2016, so surely this purported 4K display that sees action on the ZTE Star 3 not hail from Sharp.
All in all, do take what you have read here with a generous pinch of salt since nothing official has been revealed or announced just yet.
