A few months back Microsoft announced the Xbox wireless adapter for Windows, this nifty little gadget serves one purpose only, allowing people to use their Xbox One controllers with Windows powered machines. Even though the adapter was announced earlier this year Microsoft never really gave us a price tag so those who wanted one had to wait for quite a long time. Not anymore though because today Microsoft finally slapped a price tag on the Xbox wireless adapter.
This isn’t the only Xbox related announcement that Microsoft has made today. The much rumored 1TB Xbox One has also been officially confirmed today.
1TB Xbox One also brings the new wireless controller for Xbox One that has been in the news for a couple of weeks now, the new controller features a standard 3.5mm headset jack. That’s all there is to it.
The Xbox wireless adapter from Microsoft is meant for use primarily with Windows 10 powered tablets, laptops and PCs. It lets you use the Xbox One controller with these machines.
It costs $24.99, and does have support to hook up the controller to the PC using a microUSB cable. Customers will also be able to purchase the adapter in a bundle that costs $79.95, it features the new Xbox One controller with the 3.5mm headset jack.
The adapter itself will be released this fall.
