Video Game Hall Of Fame Gets New Inductees

A Hall of Fame is not going to be very popular if the list of inductees are not revised from time to time, don’t you think so? After all, it would be nice to see such a list expand based on the season as well as circumstances, and here we are with something that is rather uplifting news as we approach the end of the week – a couple of titles that will definitely ring bells with anyone who grew up in the 1970s and 1990s; Pong and Doom.

Yes sir, both Pong and Doom (what took them so long is another mystery) happen to have been picked simply because of their influence, longevity, reach and iconic status that enabled them to finally make their way proudly to the first Video Game Hall of Fame. This particular project intends to hunt down all of the influential video games that deserve a place there, where this video game Hall of Fame started in February by The Strong.

Other titles that were picked to be featured in an exhibition of iconic games include the likes of the puzzler Tetris, Nintendo’s high jumping plumber Super Mario Bros, the pill chomping Pac-Man, and the timesink World of Warcraft. Other nominations that were big hits across the globe include Angry Birds and Minecraft, although they did not manage to make the final cut.
