It also saw two smartwatches from Vector make their debut – the Luna and the Meridian, and for those who have been keeping tabs, you will be pleased to learn that these two smartwatches have been pegged for a general release come September later this year. For those who are unfamiliar with Vector, they are a company founded by former Timex CEO Joe Santana, so safe to say that they have some experience with watches.
Unlike most smartwatches that rely on a touchscreen display, Vector has opted for a Memory LCD and uses three buttons along its side to navigate the watch. This has resulted in a smartwatch that promises 30 days of battery life. They also run their own custom OS and will feature similar functionality as most other smartwatches, such as receiving text messages and other kinds of notifications.
The watches will also play nicely with iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices as it will not be platform exclusive which is a good thing. Pricing of the watch has been set at $199 for the Vector Meridian, while the Vector Lunar will be priced slightly higher $349.
