Some of you guys might recall that a few weeks ago, we reported that a game developer was trolled on Kickstarter. Basically the devs were trying to achieve their funding goal and were several thousand short of achieving it, but along came a mysterious benefactor that pretty much covered the remaining costs.
Unfortunately it turned out to be a troll who pulled out at the very last minute, causing the project to fail. Well, it looks like the developers at 2Awesome Studio have had the last laugh as their second round of funding appeared to be a huge success. The Kickstarter campaign for the game Dimension Drive has since exceeded its original goal and with 13 days to go, it is safe to say that the developers will have raised more than they had expected.
According to them, “During our last kickstarter we were trolled. We were played, we were taken for a fool, and we were gutted. But you all helped us back up and that just goes to show that through the power of community we can do anything.” They have since added stretch goals where there will be additional features added to the game if they were to raise more money.
In the meantime if you’d like to lend the developers a helping hand in terms of money, you still can do so by heading on over to its Kickstarter page. In the meantime you can check out the video above to get an idea of what the game is all about.
