It looks like TiVo has just introduced what you can claim to be one of the very best features to the masses from its DVR, where it will unify the entire cross-platform search process. Basically, this particular feature would enable the user to look up their favorite TV shows, in order to check out just what kind of platforms will carry these shows.
In fact, what is great news is, those who are not TiVo subscribers, too, can make use of the search feature, now how about that? All that you need to do is to enter the ZIP code in order to look up what TV shows are available in the particular area in which they reside in.
According to Tom Rogers, TiVo President and CEO, “The tools available today to find what viewers most want to watch across all sources of programs are not comprehensive, not personalized, or are difficult to use. There just isn’t a great way to hone in on exactly what you care about and are most interested in – until now with TiVo Online.”
With this new search feature, users can look up catalogs from various sources such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Vudu, Hulu Plus, and YouTube, among others, but it would be infinitely more useful for TiVo subscribers since they can take advantage of it to create and modify OnePass passes, as well as to transfer these passes from a TiVo DVR to a different TiVo DVR. Are you stoked yet?
