Earlier on, Swift did not want to let Apple offer songs from her hugely successful album as a protest against Apple’s decision not to pay a single cent to artists for songs that are streamed throughout the entire three month free trial periods for consumers. After her open letter to Apple on Tumblr, Apple has changed their policy and will pay royalties to writers, artists, labels and producers whose music is streamed throughout the aforementioned three month trial period. With Apple Music set to debut at the end of this month alongside the iOS 8.4 launch, this is certainly a happy ending for all parties involved. Of course, such an announcement by Swift is always more than welcome by her fans who might have felt split right down the middle earlier on concerning subscribing to Apple Music.
