T-Mobile US is finally going to unveil the Microsoft Lumia 640, the date has been set for June 17, Wednesday. If sources are to be believed, the information was let out by a company’s representative with a document that included the details about the forthcoming launch.

The reason behind the delay is most likely the network check and T-Mobile’s indigenous Wi-Fi calling feature, which has many instances on its name for being the cause behind the delay in many device launches. The Lumia 640 will most likely come with the latest operating system and update 2, the version 15148 facilitates native Wi-FI and HD Voice calling in the device.

What comes as a surprise is that, T-Mobile won’t be exhibiting the device at its physical stores for sale. The company would rather list the Lumia 640 under the label of ‘Ship to (direct fulfillment)’ system. All this means that T-Mobile will be ordering it online for the consumers and will get the device shipped directly to the consumer’s address or to a local store near them.

Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL have been announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) back in March 2015 and since then It has been a long wait for the residents of United States to finally get the access to the devices. Although, T-Mobile kept the ‘coming soon’ banner on its website for a long time, and the previous reports suggested to be launched in July, but now the company has finally given a green signal for the launch to happen in June.

T-Mobile has not yet revealed any details about the pricing for Lumia 640, but Microsoft once listed the device’s price as $89 without-contract. Microsoft soon brought down the listing and has kept quiet about the matter.
