About two years ago T-Mobile launched the Jump program as part of its uncarrier initiatives, the program allowed subscribers to upgrade their smartphones whenever they wanted but for that privilege they had to pay a $10 per month fee. Today as part of its uncarrier Amped announcements, T-Mobile has launched the Jump On Demand program which will not only allow subscribers to upgrade their phones whenever they want, but they will no longer be required to pay $10 per month for the privilege.
T-Mobile will no longer be asking subscribers to pay $10 per month just so they’re able to upgrade their phone whenever they want, instead the cost will be covered by the device’s installment, which means that Jump will essentially be at no cost to the customer.
Customers will be able to take advantage of Jump On Demand to upgrade anytime, they will be allowed three upgrades in a single year.
“JUMP! On Demand is the best way to get a new smartphone whenever you want. Zero out the door. Zero at upgrade. Zero fees. Zero wait. Zero BS,” says John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile.
This means that there’s no longer an additional monthly fee, an upgrade fee or tax when upgrading your device on T-Mobile, and it’s going to be a compelling option for those who regularly like to switch phones.
T-Mobile’s Jump On Demand program will go live June 28th.
