Last year the company unveiled the iOS version so if you were hoping to see some Windows or Android support, we guess that time has come. The design of the controller has some some changes, namely in its color scheme which is now mostly black and orange, versus the original Stratus XL which had a bit of an Xbox-feel to it.
The company has also added two more buttons to the controller to navigate back and forward and it is also equipped with Microsoft’s XInput game controller API, thus giving Windows gamers the ability to enjoy their games on their PC with a console-like feel to it. There will be an accompanying software that will allow further tweaks to its settings, sensitivity levels, and so on.
The controller will also rely on Bluetooth connectivity so users should have no issue pairing with their Android device or Windows PC. It will also use AA batteries to power it and according to SteelSeries, they are promising an estimated 40 hours worth of gaming. The Stratus XL is priced at $59.99 and will be available starting this July.
