This is compared to other competing services such as Spotify where their family plans cost $15 for two users already. If you have a family of five, this will set you back $30 which is double of what Apple Music is charging you. If you plan on being loyal to Spotify, you might be pleased to learn that the company could be considering matching Apple’s prices.
In a statement released to The Verge, Spotify’s head of communications and public policy Jonathan Price was quoted as saying, “We already have similar family pricing in some markets and we expect to offer competitive pricing everywhere in the near future.” Now this isn’t an actual guarantee that they will match Apple’s prices, but it sounds like they could be considering something similar.
Like we said earlier it would seem that Apple’s plans for a cheaper music service didn’t exactly work out, but perhaps there was a compromise and that compromise was to offer up cheaper deals if users were to sign up for family plans instead.
