gs-tab-eYes, we did bring you word earlier this morning of a tablet from South Korean conglomerate Samsung that was printed in the June 2015 edition of a Taiwan Mobile catalog, but there was no exact model number to go along with that story. It looks like things have started to firm up now, as the tablet will apparently be officially known as the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6.

As for the model number, there will be more than one. First off, there is the SM-T560 which would be a tablet that has Wi-Fi only connectivity, where it will retail for $203 thereabouts. On the other hand, there is the SM-T561 variant which will obviously offer a whole lot more than just 3G connectivity, and needless to say, with the added capability, you will have to fork out a wee bit more dough. We are talking about $226 a pop here, which ain’t too much extra in the first place.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6, as its name suggests, will boast of a 9.6” glass that sports a resolution count of 800 x 1280 pixels, and underneath the hood lies a the Spreadtrum SC7730SE SoC that boasts of a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU. Accompanying it would be 1.5GB RAM as well as 8GB of internal memory, and those who feel that this is inadequate (for most folks, actually) can always fall back upon the microSD memory card slot that would let you carry another 128GB of storage space.
