As for the Galaxy J2, you can tell by its name alone that this will be part of the Samsung Galaxy J series, which right now, is made up of the Samsung Galaxy J1, Samsung Galaxy J5 and and Samsung Galaxy J7. The Galaxy J1 was introduced in February this year, while the J5 and J7 were officially announced not too long ago.
The Galaxy J2 would not reside at the high end of the hierarchy, as it carries a model number SM-J200F on the IMEI database while coming with highly possible specifications such as a 4.7” display. If the Galaxy J1 were to be used as a yardstick, then the J2 should improve on the dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and a 512MB RAM – and even then, it would not be much of an improvement, clearly making this an entry level handset if it can maintain a low entry price.
