It was confirmed earlier this year that Rock Band is going to make a comeback, Rock Band 4 has already been confirmed and we know that it’s going to be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The question now is when exactly will this title be released for these consoles, and the answer just might have presented itself on a pre-order page for Rock Band 4. An Amazon listing for Rock Band 4 states that the title is going to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 6th.
Retailers have a habit of outing release dates of upcoming titles even before they have been properly revealed by the developer or the publisher, but often it happens that the retailers get these dates wrong.
While that remains a possibility here, it would make sense if Rock Band 4 is released in October, because it would put the title up nicely against the new Guitar Hero title which is also due to be released this fall.
As per the Amazon listing, a full kit for Rock Band 4 is going to cost $249.99, it includes the title, a guitar, mic and drum kit. There’s a package listed on Toys R Us which only includes the guitar and costs $129.99.
Old Rock Band instruments will be able to work with the new title, in that case a copy of Rock Band 4 can be purchased for $59.99.
