Real Madrid Gets Windows 8.1 Tablet

Real Madrid happens to be one of the richest football clubs in the world – not to mention the most popular, too, and a big chunk of this is due to their rich and storied history as well as European pedigree, having picked up La Decima last season, although coming up empty this season. Armed with a new manager, it looks like this team of galacticos has another triumph in the realm of marketing – Microsoft has started to sell a specially designed Windows 8.1 tablet just for fans of Real Madrid.

This is a nice move, as it ties in with the recent reveal of a Real Madrid app. The thing about this tablet is, it is not all that easily accessible, since at this point in time, it looks only as though one can pick it up in Spain, and nowhere else. Depending on how much customization you would like to have done onto the tablet, this Windows 8.1 Real Madrid tablet will cost from €199 upwards, and if you would like to have your own name etched on the back, that would mean an additional €50 into the club’s kitty. In addition, the first 100 buyers will be given an invitation to visit Santiago Bernabeu, which is Real Madrid’s world famous stadium.

The official name would be “Windows Tablet Edición Real Madrid”, where it comes with an 8.9” IPS display at 1200 x 1920 resolution, has a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor running proceedings from within, a 5MP camera at the back, a 2MP front-facing shooter, 2GB RAM, and 32GB of internal memory, not to mention a year of free subscription to Office 365.
