Amazon is gradually increasing the number of apps and services that are available for its TV platform and the latest announcement puts a very popular music streaming service on its devices. It has been confirmed today that Rdio is now available on the Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick, users who have any of the two devices can now use the music streaming service provided that they’re in a market where Rdio provides its service.

The Amazon Fire TV is the company’s set-top box that not only provides access to Amazon’s own movie and TV show library but also to third-party apps and services like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and many others. Even the online TV streaming service Sling TV is available as an app for the set-top box.

Same goes for the Fire TV Stick, which doesn’t really have the processing punch of the set-top box, but can hold its own when it comes to content streaming through multiple sources.

Rdio is available for both the Amazon Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick. This streaming service has already been launched for the company’s ill-fated smartphone as well as its tablets.

Customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Austria can use this service on their Amazon devices because that’s where Rdio is currently available in. It will supplement Amazon’s own Prime Music service that’s offered to Prime members.
