According to a report from Kotaku, they have confirmed that the PlayStation platform will be getting Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLCs ahead of other platforms. However this is a timed exclusivity meaning that it will only last for 30 days, after which the DLCs will be released for the Xbox and PC platforms.
This was confirmed to them by Sony’s Adam Boyes during E3 2015 last week. Like we said this is a change of pace mostly thanks to Sony’s deal with Activision and basically swaps Microsoft’s place for Sony. Prior to this Xbox gamers were the ones who got the 30-day exclusive deal but now PlayStation gamers will be able to lord this over their Xbox-playing friends.
Previously the exclusivity to the PlayStation platform was hinted at on the Xbox website. When games were exclusive to the platform, they were given a small green tag that said “Exclusive Game”, but in the case of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, it had no such tag leading to speculation which ultimately proved to be right on the money.
