The company has recently announced the Polaroid Cube+ which is basically the successor to last year’s camera. The design of the camera has not changed much and will continue to sport a colorful and sporty look. However under the hood, Polaroid has made some changes such as bumping the megapixels up from 6 to 8.
They have also included WiFi inside the camera which means that through an accompanying app, users will be able to control the camera remotely and use their smartphone as a viewfinder, as well as to receive photos taken by the camera which they can then proceed to edit on their mobile devices.
If the Polaroid Cube+ is the updated Cube that you have been waiting for, it will be available in August where it will be priced at $149.99. Granted it might not necessary pack the same hardware as the GoPro, but it is significantly cheaper if you’re not too fussed about those sorts of things.
