The scroll wheel on your mouse is extremely handy. It is used to scroll through websites, documents, cycle through images, zoom in and out, and in gaming it can also be used to cycle between weapons, different views, or it can be customized according to your needs. However have you ever been in a situation where one scroll wheel isn’t enough?
Well the good news is that if you’ve been looking for a mouse with dual scroll wheels, you might be pleased to learn that at Computex, Patriot took the wraps off their latest gaming mouse in the form of the Viper V530. As you can see in the image above, the V530 gaming mouse will sport two scroll wheels.
According to the folks at PC Gamer who tried the mouse out for themselves, the scroll wheels are configured by default with the front scroll acting like a regular scroll for websites, while the wheel on the back will adjust the volume on your computer. Sounds like a handy setup, doesn’t it? However it seems to be quite sensitive and scrolling with the front wheel can sometimes end up moving the wheel at the back.
As for the mouse itself, it will feature a 5,000 DPI optical sensor and customizable lighting colors. It will be priced at $60 and is expected to be released in Q3 2015. So, will this be a mouse you’ll be picking up for yourself?
