Well the good news is that if you have a OnePlus One handset and are affected by this issue, you will be happy to learn that OnePlus has recently pushed out an update that will supposedly address this problem once and for all. The update for Cyanogen OS will be version YNG1TAS213 so you’ll want to keep an eye out for it.
The update should address the touchscreen issue in theory since users will need to download and test it out for themselves first to see if it works. However apart from addressing the touchscreen problem, the update is also expected to fix other bugs like Bluetooth connectivity for in-car systems and also MMS sending on several carriers.
The entire ROM itself weighs in at over 500MB, however if your OnePlus One handset is currently running on YNG1TAS17L, then you should be able to download the incremental OTA update that weighs in at a more manageable 20MB. So OnePlus One owners who have downloaded the update, does this fix the touchscreen issue for you once and for all?
