OK Google Now Shows Suggestions In The Search Bar

If you’re new to Android and you’re wondering how best to take advantage of the Google Now voice assistant feature, fret not because Google is here to save the day. It has recently been discovered that Google has been including suggestions in the search bar as to what kind of questions you could ask Google Now.

As you can see in the screenshots above, courtesy of Redditor BackcountryAdventure, it shows that you can ask Google Now all sorts of questions ranging from mathematical eq uations to searching for movies that are nearby. Oddly enough it seems that not everyone has the feature available on their phones at the moment.

Some users are claiming that they see it while others don’t. It is not clear as to what one needs in order for the feature to be present. Some claim that you need the latest version of Android Lollipop, but there are users who have the latest version but do not see it. However it has happened in the past where Google has rolled out features gradually, so if you have not received it yet, you should in the near future.

It’s not exactly a groundbreaking feature but it is a good way of acquainting users with what Google Now is capable of. Given that there are competitors expected to arrive on Android such as Microsoft’s Cortana and SoundHound’s Hound, we suppose it makes sense that Google will want to make the lives of its users easier.
