You might recall that yesterday we reported that HTC was planning a new series of smartphones for the later part of the year. It was assumed that HTC would be turning to the use of Android which is what the company has typically done, but as it turns out it could be Windows Phone, or as it might be known then as Windows 10 Mobile.
This is according to Microsoft’s recent keynote at Computex in which HTC’s logo can be seen in the Microsoft presentation (see image above). The slide in question is supposedly Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 10 partners and the usual suspects are listed on it, such as Intel, Dell, IBM, Samsung, LG, BLU Products, and most interestingly HTC.
Samsung’s involvement doesn’t come as a surprise since the company makes computers as well. We know that LG has also recently launched a Windows Phone handset in the form of the LG Lancet, so what’s HTC doing there? The last time we saw a HTC Windows Phone was last year when the company launched the HTC One M8 for Windows which was basically the Windows Phone version of the HTC One M8 handset.
In any case this is just speculation for now as HTC could have other products planned but what do you guys think? Would you like to see more Windows Phone handsets from HTC later this year?
