BlackBerry is yet to launch a new high-end handset this year and there have been rumors that it’s next major product is going to be the BlackBerry Oslo. According to the reports that have come in so far it’s going to be a slightly modified version of the BlackBerry Passport. Some purported images of the handset have been leaked in the past but they were quite blurry, today a couple of new BlackBerry Oslo images have been leaked online.
The leaked images of the BlackBerry Oslo give us quite a good look at this handset, BlackBerry has so far not confirmed if and when it intends to launch this handset.
At first glance it appears to be quite similar to the BlackBerry Passport which was released late last year. The build materials appear to be different though, a mix of silver plastic with the characteristic steel frame of the Passport. The QWERTY keyboard appears to have been slightly changed as well, with the keys being fashioned out of soft touch material.
It’s believed that the Oslo is going to have exactly the same specifications as the BlackBerry Passport, though the change in build materials might allow the company to sell it at a lower price point.
No word as yet from BlackBerry on the existence of this device, let alone the price and availability.
