Netflix Card Introduced In The UK

With most subscription services, you would require a valid credit/debit card in which every week/month, the service would debit your account to pay for the service until you say otherwise. However over in the UK, Netflix has introduced a new form of payment in the form of a Netflix Card which is essentially a pay-as-you-go option.

As it stands over in the UK, subscribers to Netflix can choose to pay either using PayPal or their bank card, but with Netflix Card, subscribers will be less obligated to keep signing on with Netflix. This is a great option since it allows users to watch the shows that they want and when they’re done, they can opt to not continue using the service.

The card will work similar to other gift cards found on other services like Amazon, Google Play, or iTunes. Customers have the choice of choosing between £15, £25, and £50 worth of credit and can be used with any of Netflix’s streaming tiers. According to Netflix, “Members will receive the Netflix service as long as the card balance lasts – when the credit is fully used, the member can choose to put new credit on the account with a Netflix card or choose one of the other payment methods available.”

The Netflix Card can be used with both new and existing accounts, so even if you’ve subscribed you can opt out of the subscription and switch to Netflix Card if that’s what you prefer.
