If you love puzzle games, chances are you have heard and might have even tried out Monument Valley. The game is beautifully designed and features a rather unique gameplay, beautiful graphics and animations. Now if you’ve completed the game by now, which we’re sure many already have, you will be pleased to learn that additional content is headed your way.
This content comes in the form of Ida’s Dream which was released last year as part of a Project (RED) promotion. It was made available as an in-app purchase at that time but in case you missed out on it, the developers at ustwo have decided to re-release a visually updated version of the content on the 25th of June, and best of all it will be free.
Ida’s Dream will be available on all platforms that Monument Valley is available on. As to why they decided to release it for free, the studio’s Director of Games Neil McFarland told TechCrunch, “This is content that people haven’t been able to get, or just missed out on, and it’s just really good that we’re completing it now for the majority of players. Now everyone is going to have access to the entire chapter library of the game which we’re really excited about.”
As it stands Monument Valley has two chapters – the original game and the expansion which is an in-app purchase that costs $1.99. It seems that with the release of Ida’s Dream, it will probably be the last content update for the game as its developers will focus on other titles moving forward, so if you love the game then this is definitely something to look forward to.
