What they have done is that for this summer, they will be renting out more than 80 movie theaters across 28 cities in the US, and from there they will be letting kids come into the theaters and play Minecraft on the big screen. If you thought your screen was big, we doubt it will be movie theater big.
Kids will be able to show off what they have created in Minecraft and while Minecraft isn’t strictly a competitive game, there will be some PVP matches that will be held just for the sake of competition. Super League Gaming will be targeting kids aged 7-14 and has already made its way to Los Angeles.
It is expected to run until the 28th of August so if you’re a parent whose kid is a huge Minecraft fan, perhaps this could be something they could spend their summer holidays doing. The focus on kids is interesting as previously we mentioned that the game would be used teach children how to code as well as teach them about science and technology.
