Capcom’s Mega Man is one of the more endearing video game characters that has managed to endure the passage of time without being maligned, and while his exploits are not all that celebrated in modern day video game pantheon, play any of his classic platformers and you will be able to roll back the years with wonder. Well, there is life in the proverbial old horse just yet, as it seems as though Capcom’s Mega Man is about to obtain its very own new TV show, at least according to the folks over at Deadline.
Also known as the Blue Bomber, he will (obviously) be the main focus of an animated series that will be created by Man of Action Entertainment, who happen to be creators of Ben 10 and the Big Hero 6 comic, not to mention having worked on Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man as well as Avengers Assemble for Disney XD. Man of Action will be working alongside Dentsu Entertainment in order to produce all 26 episodes for Mega Man’s upcoming animated series, and this series is said to air later in 2017, which makes plenty of sense marketing-wise, since the franchise would celebrate its 30th anniversary then.
We look forward to the animated series, and 2 years is a relatively long time in this fast paced age.
