Richard Ryan at FullMag does seem to have this sort of fetish to shoot everything in sight – consumer electronics devices, especially. Anyone would know for sure that such devices are unable to stand up to the might of a bullet, what more a high caliber rifle. I suppose it is a somewhat futile attempt at having the novelty factor of a truly crazy toughness test, but he does have his fair share of fans. This time around, it would be the flagship LG G4 that goes up against a FAMAS.
The FAMAS happens to stand for Fusil d’Assaut de la Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne, which is the primary service rifle of the French military. It is a particularly difficult rifle to hunt down over in the US these days, since dealers had stopped importing it for quite some time already, not to mention that it did not sell that well in the first place. Needless to say, the LG G4 did not put up much of a fight against the FAMAS, but it is still positively heartbreaking to see a perfectly fine smartphone – and a flagship model at that, being riddled with bullets. Are we now a society that requires so much more in order to titillate our senses?
