There was a point in time where smartphones came with their “mini” equivalent – which would be hardware that carries some very close resemblance to the real deal, or most of the time, the flagship device, and yet does not pack in all of the relevant features, and most of the time, it would also arrive in a smaller form factor – sort of like a “Lite” version, so to speak. Well, the LG G2 Mini which was announced in February last year, before getting a release two months down the road, is touted to arrive with the Android Lollipop update some time later this month.
This particular bit of news hails from the folks over at LG Greece, where the particular information was shared through a comment response over on their Facebook page. For those who are not in the know, the LG G2 mini happens to be a smaller form factor of the LG G2 which rolled out in September 2013, where the latter began to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in January earlier this year. It is also interesting to note that this bit of information has reached our ears not too long after the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update was released to the LG G Flex2 over in South Korea.
