onemax-lollipopThe HTC One Max made its official appearance in October a couple of years ago, and needless to say, HTC has not really done all that well for itself in recent years, although the HTC One series did bring back a certain degree of respect to the brand. Still, despite not being all that popular, the HTC One Max does have its fair share of fans, and if you happen to be rocking to a HTC One Max, you will be pleased as punch to know that this smartphone will now have an official Android 5.0 Lollipop update (alongside Sense 6.0 UI in tow, of course).

There have been different users who claimed that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update has started to roll out via an Over The Air (OTA) update across select European and Asian markets, where the countries involved include France, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, and Taiwan. One would then make the logical assumption that the update too, will also be released to HTC One Max users who reside in the US, since this handset was sold by the likes of Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. Ah well, only time will be able to tell, and such an update would definitely give a new lease of life to an ageing device.
