Gamers who are interested in checking it out can do so by downloading the game via the Battle.net desktop client. It will be a free-to-play title but players will need to pay real money if they want to purchase things like extra heroes, extra skins, and so on, but other than that it is completely free and not a pay-to-win game.
In the meantime Blizzard has also announced some of the rewards that they will be giving to gamers from their other franchises if they were to play Heroes of the Storm, and vice versa. For World of Warcraft gamers, Blizzard will be giving players a Grave Golem pet for any player that hits level 20 in Heroes of the Storm. Players who reach level 100 in World of Warcraft will also be given an Ironside Dire Wolf mount that can be used in the game.
As for Hearthstone players, if you were to reach level 12 in Heroes of the Storm, you will be given a Heroes-themed Cardback. Hearthstone players who have won 100 matches in Play Mode will be given a Hearthstone Card Mount in Heroes of the Storm, although this mount isn’t available yet but it should be soon.
