A couple of weeks ago, we reported on a certain screen protector dubbed the Halo Back. What made this different from other screen protectors is that it added a back button for the iPhone. All users would have to do is tap the lower left corner of their phone and it would simulate swiping or tapping the back button in the UI.
It is a pretty awesome and nifty idea that Android users coming over to the iPhone might appreciate, and it looks like its Kickstarter project has been a huge success. According to the project’s update, it seems that the creators of Halo Back have managed to raise a whopping $203,013 at this time of writing.
They were previously aiming for a mere $20,000 but it looks like the concept has taken off as raising over $200,000 is essentially 1,000% of their goal! Now we personally don’t know how effective the Halo Back is, but from what we can tell it seems to work just fine. Each screen protector is priced starting at $12 as a Kickstarter special, but their page states that it will be priced at $49 when it is released to everyone else.
Shipment of the screen protector is also expected to make its way to backers by August 2015, so we guess we’ll have to wait until then to see how well it actually performs. In the meantime there is still 6 days left until the campaign officially closes, so if you’d like to get in on it head on over for the details.
