Smartphone cases can serve multiple purposes. It can be used to protect phones from bumps and drops, it can be used to provide additional battery, or in some instances these smartphone cases are merely there for decorative/vanity purposes. Now if you’re after a designer case for your brand new Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, you’re in luck.Samsung has recently announced on its blog that they have teamed up with a handful of designers to create special designer cases aimed specifically at the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. According to Samsung, “Working with Swarovski, Montblanc, Romero Britto, Rebecca Minkoff and Burton, we have handpicked designers that share in our vision of design that is forward-thinking, streamlined and a fusion of fashion and technology.”
As expected each designer will apply their specialty to their case. For example Swarovski will naturally be embedding crystals in their case, while brands like Montblanc have gone for something a little more understated and subtle, while keeping it classy through the use of materials such as leather.
Then you have artists such as Romero Britto who offers up bright and funky designs for a more youthful look, and Rebecca Minkoff who offers a more feminine touch with her case designs. Last but not least is snowboarding brand Burton who has take their most popular print designs and applied to the the case.
