Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be aware of the fact that it’s possible to install and apply third party themes on these handsets, Samsung has created a themes store through which developers can sell their themes. A new theme for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has been released today, called Material, it aims to provide a look and feel that’s more like stock Lollipop instead of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
The Material theme for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has been designed by Samer Zayer who is a well known developer of themes and icons for Android.
From the looks of it, Zayer has done a good job of replicating the stock Android experience in the Material theme eliminating almost every sign of TouchWiz, as we all know is a constant on Samsung’s Android devices.
Zayer has given a fresh coat of paint to the entire user interface, including but not limited to the calculator, clock, messaging and dialer applications.
The Material theme for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is now available for download from the Samsung Theme Store, bear in mind that it’s not listed under the new themes menu for some reason, instead you’ll be able to find material in the Themes for Man section of the store.
