Galaxy S5 Android 5.1.1 Update Enters The Pipeline

Samsung has jumped on the Android 5.1.1 bandwagon even though the update has so far only been released by T-Mobile in the United States and that too only for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. There’s no doubt that other carriers will be joining in soon and Samsung itself would send out the update for non-carrier units. According to a new report Samsung has started developing the Galaxy S5 Android 5.1.1 update, which means that the update is just that much closer to being publicly released.

Given that it has only just been reported that development on the update has begun it might take a couple of months before Samsung feels confident enough to send this update out in the world.

Till then Galaxy S5 owners will have to wait and remain content with the 5.0.2 Lollipop update that has already been provided for many of Samsung’s smartphones.

A previous report suggested recently that Samsung has also started work on Android 5.1.1 for the Galaxy Note 4. The ball seems to be underway over at Samsung but so far the company has not committed to when it will release this update for supported models.

Samsung has not even confirmed if it really has started developing on Android 5.1.1 for the aforementioned devices, but then again, the company rarely reveals such information.
