It was reported only recently that Samsung had started working on the Android 5.1 update for a number of its high-end devices. Even though the company has not confirmed release timeframes for any of those devices, it’s believed that Samsung will be quick to sent this particular update out. According to a new report the company is going to release Android 5.1.1 for the Galaxy Note 4 in July.
Most of Samsung’s high-end devices have already received the initial update to Lollipop, now the company has turned its attention towards mid-range handsets and is also working on micro-updates for some devices that faced issues after updating to Lollipop.
Galaxy Note 4 is one of the company’s high-end devices and it wouldn’t be surprising to see it receive preferential treatment. As per the new report, Samsung is putting the final touches on getting Android 5.1.1 for Galaxy Note 4 ready and is confident that it will release it to everyone by the end of next month.
As for the improvements that might be included in this update, expect lots of bug fixes and performance improvements. It’s also possible that Android 5.1.1 for this handset might include some improvements for the camera software, but take this with a grain of salt because none of this has been confirmed by Samsung as yet.
