For the past few months it has been reported multiple times that Microsoft is going to release two new Lumia handsets later this year, they’ll be the first high-end devices that the company releases since it took over Nokia’s hardware division. Since the deal was closed Microsoft has only released mid-range and low-end Windows Phone devices and it’s safe to say that we’re all looking forward to a change. If a rumor is to be believed the company may have as many as four additional Lumia handsets up its sleeve.
The rumor comes from infamous Twitter leaker @evleaks who claims that there are four new Lumia handsets in the pipeline over at Microsoft.
Microsoft’s high-end Lumias for this year are believed to carry the codenames Cityman and Talkman, these four new handsets are believed to have codenames Cuilin, Honjo, Saana and Saimaa.
Don’t worry if the codenames tend to feel a bit unorthodox it’s nothing out of the ordinary, companies do choose such codenames to mask the identities of their upcoming devices.
Unfortunately not much is known about this handsets so there’s nothing to share about specifications and features, but perhaps we’ll get that information in the near future if these four smartphones really are to see the light of day at some point in the future.
