It was late last month that we brought you word on how Facebook Messenger payments have started to make its way to NYC, and here we are with yet more Facebook Messenger news. We hope to be harbingers of good news, and it looks like there is yet another way to connect with the world via Facebook Messenger. In fact, you can now send a location as part of a conversation in Messenger, and this particular location can be where you are, or a different place as a separate message.
Just how do you get that done? For starters, tap the More icon or the location pin that is located at the bottom of your screen. Should you want to inform your mate as to where he or she should meet up with you, locate the venue and then send a map of where it is. Should you mismanage your time and start to run late, just send a map of your current location, so that he or she can make an intelligent guesstimate as to your time of arrival.
Here is to making sure that this particular platform does not get hacked or have its security compromised in any way, otherwise folks are going to get very jumpy, knowing that one could be stalked. [Press Release]
