For those unfamiliar with the Pip-Boy, it’s basically a gadget that is worn on the wrist by the player in the game. Given that this is now an actual real-life Pip-Boy, you can wear it on your own wrist! Of course it isn’t the actual Pip-Boy but it will come with a slot that users can put their smartphones into and activate it with an accompanying app.
For those who are fans of the franchise, this will no doubt be something worth adding to their collection. In fact Bethesda’s Todd Howard was extremely pleased with the gadget during his presentation at E3, claiming that out of all the gimmicks that they could have chosen, he feels that he chose the best one, and we’re sure fans are inclined to agree.
Howard also notes that supply will be very limited so gamers will want to move fast. In the meantime Fallout 4 has also been announced for a release later this year. The game has been pegged for the 10th of November so if you’ve been eagerly anticipating the game, you’ll want to mark that date down on your calendar.
