Apps were a major focus at yesterday’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 keynote, Apple revealed the sheer amount of application download figures and the number of apps that are available for its platforms. The company even made some improvements to the watchOS which will improve the app experience on the Apple Watch. Today eBay has revealed that it’s launching an app for the Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch eBay application is going to allow both buyers and sellers to get alerts and updates on the items that they’re tracking on eBay’s marketplace. By no means is this a new concept, eBay had done this previously on smartwatches like Pebble and the Samsung Gear.
eBay has been testing this app internally ever since the Apple Watch was released, the company says that it’s working to take care of the “lagginess” that’s still present on the Apple Watch version.
The app will provide four major features: Buying, Selling Watching and Watching. Buying will list items on which the user is actively bidding on, Selling will let users track items they have listed for sale on eBay. Watching allows tracking of items that the user hasn’t bid on yet.
Activity will provide users with all of the crucial information regarding their eBay usage, such as messages about being outbid on a product, items ending soon, items that need to be shipped and much more.
The official eBay app for Apple Watch will be released soon.
