We reported yesterday how Bethesda has accidently confirmed that it would be announcing Dishonored 2 at its E3 2015 press conference, the accidental confirmation came merely hours before the official announcement. Bethesda has now formally announced Dishonored 2 while also confirming that the original Dishonored title will be spruced up and released later this in August for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The first Dishonored 2 trailer from Bethesda shows us a glimpse of what we can expect from this title, though it’s not really clear when this title will arrive.
Given that Bethesda is first going to release a remastered Dishonored for the latest consoles it appears that fans might have to wait for quite a bit for Dishonored 2 to arrive.
From the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like Dishonored 2 will be out by this Christmas, as many had expected. Bethesda hasn’t committed to a release date just yet.
Dishonored 2 is set 15 years into the future after Lord Regent has been vanquished and the feared Rat Plague has passed. Players will travel beyond the streets of Dunwall to Karnaca as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano in order to restore Emily to power.
This is going to be the first of many trailers that we’ll get to see before it’s time for this title to be released, unfortunately Bethesda isn’t saying just yet when we can expect this title to land on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
