Now it looks like the company’s next partner is all the way over in Indonesia in the form of the Andromax Q, a local brand that will rely on Cyanogen OS for its operating system. The device is being offered by a company called Smartfren and it will also be the first smartphone in the country to be officially powered by Cyanogen OS.
That being said while on the software front it seems pretty exciting, its hardware is really nothing to shout about. The phone will come with a 4.5-inch 854×480 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, no front-facing camera (possibly to keep costs down), and will come with LTE.
The phone itself will be manufactured by Chinese company Haier who is known for their white goods such as air-conditioners, although the company has since dabbled in wearables and mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The Andromax Q will be sold for around $97 but no word on when it is expected to be released.
