CTL NL6 Education Chromebook Gains Added Flexibility
With Chromebook sales tipped to hit the whopping 7.5 million mark this year, you can be sure that this is far from being a dying market. I suppose one can say that the Chromebook would sure as heck last a whole lot more than the netbook market, which whimpered and eventually made its way to the consumer electronics graveyard. Well, there are several Chromebook manufacturers in the market, and educational laptop maker CTL too, joins in on the game by updating its Chromebook range with a new model that will feature an Intel Bay trail processor as well as a more flexible 180 degree hinge, letting you fold the screen in a way where the entire device remains flat.
Known as the CTL NL6 Education Chromebook, it does resemble a whole lot like the model that hit the market last year, although you will find that this model packs quite a punch with the beefier Intel Celeron N2940 processor. While the hinge itself is far more flexible than before, do bear in mind that this does not turn it into a 2-in-1 convertible, and there is also the lack of touchscreen capability, not to mention that you can twist the screen beyond 180 degrees.
Other features include a fanless design, an 11.6” display at 1366 x 768 resolution, 4GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, an HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, an SD memory card slot, and a battery life of up to 9.5 hours. Education partners can pick this puppy up for $259 a pop.
