In today’s gaming peripheral market, there are plenty of different types of keyboards to choose from. Some gamers aren’t too fussy and will play with just about any keyboard they can get their hands on. Some gamers might be more discerning and want keyboards with additional macros, while some swear by the tactile feedback and response they get from mechanical keyboards.
Well if you’re after a new mechanical gaming keyboard, Corsair has something for you in the form of the Strafe. The Strafe is the company’s latest mechanical keyboard and will come with Cherry MX Red or Brown switches. Unfortunately if you’re not a fan of the Red or Brown switches, you’re out of luck as the Strafe keyboard will only come in those configurations.
The keyboard will also feature a brilliant red LED backlighting as you can see in the image above. We have to admit that it is rather striking and while the color itself isn’t configurable, the way the lights are displayed are. For example users can configure it so that the keys can be lit up under certain keys. Alternatively there are also presets that users can choose from.
There are also textured and contoured FPS/MOBA keycaps which should help improve the gaming experience for some. It will also be 100% anti-ghosting and will sport a 104-key rollover. The Corsair Strafe unfortunately does not come cheap as is the case with most mechanical keyboards. It will be priced at $110 and is expected to be released later this month.
