If you’re a fan of the Batman franchise regardless of whether it is a movie, cartoon series, video games, comics, and so on, chances are you might have been eagerly waiting for Batman: Arkham Knight which has been released today. Now the game is available on consoles as well as the PC, but it seems that for now, avoiding the PC version might be a good idea.
There have been multiple reviews on Steam (via Destructoid) that the game isn’t running particularly well on the PC. Some users are reporting that the game has been capped at 30fps which is admittedly not the best framerate, and that it often drops down to 10fps when driving or gliding.
Before you wonder if this might have to do with the reviewer’s setup, there are some users who are running higher end graphic cards like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980, Titan X, and the AMD R9 290X who are experiencing the problems as well. In fact some users have reported having their game drop to an unplayable 3fps.
The good news is that if you’ve already bought the game on Steam, the platform’s updated refund policy will now allow gamers to get a refund on games played less than 2 hours. For those who haven’t, presumably the developers will release a patch soon that will address these issues.
