Countless people use Apple’s online store every single day to order the company’s products, which they usually receive within a couple of days, with the obvious exception of new and in-demand products like the Apple Watch. The company has added a new “courier delivery” option to its online store which is going to provide same-day delivery to customers in certain areas, basically it will ship items to customers on the very same day that they place the order and they will receive it up to four hours.
Obviously there are certain limitations that go along with same-day delivery, it’s not being offered on all products and is supported in only a few zip codes. Some of the company’s best selling products are included though, such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod and the Apple TV.
Previously Apple only provided guaranteed shipping at an additional cost that promised next day shipping which would deliver the product in one business day and guaranteed next day shipping, before noon which would deliver before noon the day after the product was available.
Apple first started offering same-day delivery through its Apple Store app for iOS and in select cities started offering courier options. Customers can now opt for this shipping method through the company’s online store and they’ll have to pay $19 to have the product shipped to them within four hours.
