That being said if you’re wondering how Android’s figures are looking this month, you will be pleased to learn that Android 5.x Lollipop’s distribution figures have rose for the month of June. According to the latest numbers offered by Google, it turns out that Android 5.x Lollipop’s distribution figures have risen to 12.4% this month.
That number is broken down to 11.6% for Android 5.0 and 0.8% for Android 5.1. This is an increase of 2.7% from the previous month where Android 5.x Lollipop was sitting at 9.7%. The increase in distribution wasn’t as drastic compared to a couple of months ago where it almost doubled from 5.4% to 9.7%, but it’s still a pretty steady pace nonetheless.
As expected older Android builds are starting to see a decrease with Android 4.4 KitKat dropping to 39.2% from 39.8% last month, and Android Jelly Bean dropping from 40.2% to 37.4%. Interestingly enough Froyo and Gingerbread are still hanging on with Froyo’s numbers remaining the same at 0.3% while Gingerbread sees a decrease of 0.1%.
