samsung-galaxy-s5-review-025

Until now only Samsung’s latest flagships have been receiving the latest Android 5.1.1 update and that too from the one and only carrier — T-Mobile. However, in the latest move, T-Mobile has initiated the roll out of the latest Android 5.1.1 version for the Galaxy S5 as well. The update turns the build number to build number to G900TUVU1FOF6, although, the announcement is not yet made official by T-Mobile.

Yes, you read that right, T-Mobile users of the Galaxy S5 are going to receive the Android 5.1.1 update before many Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users worldwide. As of now, the change log has not been made public, but we can expect some of the default changes that usually tag along with the Android 5.1.1 update.

These changes include — an array of bug fixes, improvement in the device performance, RAW support for the camera application, improvements to support the inferior ISO standards required by the third-party camera applications. The OTA update will be rolled out today, sometime later in the evening and a follow-up would go on for many more days. For all those who can’t see the update on their device, simply use Samsung Kies to check for the update manually.
