Well according to the latest rumors courtesy of Leaksfly, it has been rumored that the Xiaomi Mi 5 might only see a launch later this year in November. What this means is that customers will have to wait a little more than a year before they get to see the company’s next flagship smartphone, but it seems that the wait might have a good reason behind it.
The rumors are claiming the handset will sport Qualcomm’s latest chipset the Snapdragon 820, which is why it might have been pushed towards a release in the later part of the year. Considering the power behind the Snapdragon 810, we reckon the Snapdragon 820 will be a force to be reckoned with.
Other rumored specs include a 5.5-inch QHD display made from sapphire, 4GB of RAM, a 16/20MP rear-facing camera, a fingerprint scanner, and will also be adopting the USB-C standard. It is also expected to be 5.1mm thin and if earlier rumors are to be believed, could feature a bezel-less design as well. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully by the time the handset is launched, Xiaomi will have more concrete plans about releasing its handsets stateside.
